What non-conference matchups are on the schedule that are considered highlights for week two of ACC college football? Here’s our list along with their pre-season ESPN FPI ranking (08/26/21).

  • Appalachian State #34 vs Miami #10
  • Illinois #80 vs Virginia #45
  • Mississippi State #22 vs NC State #35
  • Pitt #32 vs Tennessee #55

The most obvious challenge on this list for a conference team is the meeting between the Bulldogs and Wolfpack. Both teams will be coming off opening weeks against opponents that will allow them to work out any early season kinks. Mississippi State takes on the Louisiana Tech Bulldogs who are ranked No. 110 in the FPI while NC State faces off with Southern Florida (USF). The Bulls are ranked No. 96.

The line has Mississippi State a 23.5 point favorite and NC State an 18.0 point favorite against their respective opponents in week one.
