There’s a different flavor on the menu with this year’s ACC Football Championship. Wake Forest and Pitt are the stars of this showdown and there’s a different kind of electricity in the air around Charlotte. Two of the conference’s stellar quarterbacks, Kenny Pickett of Pitt and Sam Hartman of Wake Forest will unleash an inferno of offense. Will the defenses be up to the task of holding these men and the weapons at their disposal in check? On the face of it fans of both teams might find it interesting that our panel was split and had the projected final score so close. The line on this game is 71 1/2 points. Three of the panel didn’t cover that but they were very close. By far, Chris had the largest spread in the final score with Pitt winning by two touchdowns. Xayveon doesn’t see it being the high scoring affair that others do. Everyone else went with a touchdown, in-between or a field goal minimum.
The difference maker may be a factor that none of us can put a finger on. Determination, crowd and desire may all be what puts the final mark on this game.
