It’s a two-day schedule in the ACC this week with a surprising number of teams already bowl eligible. Maybe it isn’t the number so much as the teams. Our teams, times, tv schedule begins on Friday. This game features one of the surprises we alluded earlier. This team is not only bowl eligible with a 6-2 overall record but is also leading the Coastal Division.
The rest of this week’s matchups are slated for Saturday where we’ll find about 10 hours of non-stop football action.
A number of these games will help push teams over the bowl eligible threshold. NC State, Miami and Duke are all one win away from getting a nod. The Hurricanes and Blue Devils get to work out their personal demons against one another on Saturday evening.
There are only four regular season weekends left in conference play before the ACC Football Championship in Charlotte on December 1.

ACC Nation Must Watch Games
Virginia is on a roll but sleeping on Pitt is always a bad choice. The Cavaliers will likely have a fight on their hands at Scott Stadium making this a must watch game.
NC State may have yet another battle on their hands with Florida State. Unless, the Seminoles have decided to roll over and play dead. Between injuries and personnel issues both teams are hobbling into this game. The Wolfpack would like to qualify for a bowl. The Seminoles need to dig deep to regain their pride.
Boston College is already bowl eligible and seem to have everything you would need on offense to make opponents pay. Virginia Tech is struggling with a youthful defense. Don’t judge books by their covers. Fuente and Foster have what it takes to push Addazio to the wall.

Duke and Miami have hit a very rough spot in their seasons. This is an opportunity to get things back on track, regain some pride and become bowl eligible. It could be a Battle Royale.
Notre Dame is already flying high with what appears to be a sure fire thing as one of four teams in the playoffs. This is where the red flag is raised. Never rest on your laurels. Take one look at Northwestern’s win/loss record and you’ll know this has the potential to become an “upset alert” kind of game. If the Irish solidly put Northwestern away then we’ll know they belong in that final four.
