The ACC Nation Power Poll for Week 3 can get some teams half-way to a post-season bowl bid. It’s so close you can almost taste it. For others, the feeling of opportunity doing a ring and run is too close for comfort. It’s time to take the foot off the brake and go full throttle. By this point in the season the coaching staff should have their best idea as to who will deliver on the field. For players, it’s time to step up. As for fans, you’re either fully on board or it’s time to find another team. It’s go time.

There’s not typically this much of a shift this early in the season for the ACC + 1 teams in the Power Poll. For the first time in many years the top 5 teams are all in-conference as Notre Dame, coming off their second loss falls to No. 7.
Though the term parity has been tossed about quite a bit when it comes to an ultimate goal of the conference when it comes to football it hasn’t reached this level in quite a while. Five teams are currently ranked among the Top 25 in the USA Today Coaches’ Poll going into Week 3 which also speaks to the improvements in conference football.
