ACC teams continue to hold a good portion of the real estate in the NFHCA Field Hockey Top 25 this week. Seven teams rank among the top 15 teams in the country.

Overall, Connecticut continues their hold on the top spot in the poll with Duke and Virginia following the Huskies and also collecting some first place votes.

The Blue Devils and Cavaliers had no movement and hold firm in the rankings. Otherwise, it’s up and down for the remaining five teams from the conference.

North Carolina, Syracuse and Wake Forest all slide a bit this week while Boston College and Louisville move up.

This week’s ACC Field Hockey Offensive Player of the Week honors go to Duke’s Rose Tynan.  The Defensive Player of the Week honors to to the Blue Devils’ Sammi Steele. (Read More)

Tynan’s efforts in games against two ranked teams, Boston College and Boston University, helped lead Duke to wins. Combined, Tynan delivered a total of seven points. She leads the Blue Devils with nine goals and is tied for first in assists with three.

Matching a career best, Steele had nine saves in a shootout victory against ninth ranked Boston College. Against Boston University, Steele held her opponents to a single goal and tabbed three saves.
