You don’t have to go very far to find danger in collegiate lacrosse. A glance at the IWLCA/IL Top 25 speaks volumes and should send shivers down the back of opponents. The top three collegiate teams hail from the ACC and each has a reputation of bringing game. In a conference loaded with talent the battle in underway for dominance. It starts with Boston College, North Carolina and Syracuse lined up 1, 2, 3 at the top of the latest rankings.

ACC teams are delivering some dominant wins early in the season. Syracuse took down then No. 13 Stanford, 12-9 on Friday. On Saturday, Boston College rolled past then No. 4 Northwestern, 18-9 and North Carolina had a decisive win over then No. 12 James Madison, 15-8.

But, it’s not always to easy to stay at the top as Notre Dame found out Sunday night. The then No. 5 Irish went toe-to-toe with then No. 23 Michigan and stubbed one or more of those appendages losing 11-7.
