In our multiple podcast conversations with Aaron Fitt of D1Baseball he’s always pointed out the potential of Wake Forest. Unfortunately for the Deacs, over the years they’ve felt that potential slip through their fingers as the season progressed. There’s no room for naysayers here but we will tip our hat to Fitt for his seemingly unwavering belief in the team the past few seasons and perhaps there is some payoff in the cards this year for those cheeky Deacs.
As it stands, Wake Forest is the top ACC team in the latest D1Baseball rankings coming in at number six. The conference delivers seven teams to the Top 25 in the latest poll just a notch behind the SEC who dominates the top 5 with nine teams compared to the seven from the ACC.

Each of those seven ACC teams in the Top 25 got off to a solid start with the majority penciling in wins. Wake Forest picked up wins over Youngstown State and Illinois to start their season.
