Baseball Tobacco Road Style

All of the usual Tobacco Road schools may not be in the mix but three out of four isn’t bad. ACC baseball is looking more like a basketball lineup. NC State, Duke and North Carolina are tops in the conference and line up in similar fashion in this week’s D1Baseball Top 25.

The Wolfpack continue to hold onto a top 5 spot in the poll. The Blue Devils jump 5 spots and land in the top 10 while the Tar Heels move up 6 places for a place in the top 15.

NC State fell in their series opener this week against Notre Dame and then recovered with two strong showings against the Irish.

Duke made their move in the poll on the back of two wins over the Seminoles. The third game of the series fell prey to the weather.

North Carolina lost their opener to the Cavaliers then took the remaining two games in their series against Virginia.

Clemson and Florida State take a hit this week with each team falling 6 notches in the rankings.

The Tigers dropped an early week match up against Georgia 6-3 and then lost 2 of 3 in their series against Miami.
