Like most polls our ACC football rankings require that a lot of rust and dust be shaken off teams in the first few weeks. It’s truly a results driven reward. So, following the rankings from week 1 this list will shake things up just a bit. Some teams earn it while others burn it.
Let’s get real. Clemson failed in the ‘Show Me’ category while Florida State came away as the teacher’s pet. The next two teams, North Carolina and Pitt spun out of control on an icy highway with only the Tar Heels missing the tree.

Alright, let’s talk Miami. You ‘Canes fans have been annoying as hell for the past, what, two decades? Like kids in the back seat of a car repeating, ‘are we there yet, are we there yet’? Well, maybe ‘The U’ is back but the recommendation is to suck it up a bit and not go overboard talking trash, which we know is almost impossible for Miami fans. We’ll just tell you, nice job. Keep going out there and repeating it week after week and improve as the season progresses. Who knows, maybe it’ll be an all-Florida ACC Football Championship.

As always, Wake Forest is that devilishly clever team that quietly sneaks up on you with a shiv in broad daylight. The Demon Deacons. Someone explain why most of the conference just can’t seem to take them as seriously as they should? Darth Vader Dave is coming for you ACC football.
Duke, Louisville and Syracuse continue to roll and are greatly underappreciated as well. Will their seasons get tougher? Yes, but those six wins and a decent bowl invitation are rapidly approaching on the horizon. Both will open more doors to recruiting and further success on the field.
College Football Week 3 | Ugly Wins, Shocking Losses
Kudos to NC State for giving Notre Dame a run for their money. Virginia had a tough go of it against in-state JMU. Boston College squeaked by Holy Cross. Virginia Tech made Purdue work for the win. Georgia Tech demonstrated that they are working their way out of the muck with a win.
