College Football Week 3 | Ugly Wins, Shocking Losses

College Football

The answer is, no you can’t have everything and week two of ACC college football has proven that poignantly. And as to further rub salt into open wounds the ACC has begun advertising the availability of tickets to the championship game. Make note, it will feature the top two winning programs this year. We can almost bet on one being there but are you willing to put down your hard earned moolah on team number 2? Is your team among the two? With many more games left to go there will be plenty of ugly wins and shocking losses that will surely upset the ACC apple cart. After all, it’s the ACC, right?

We want to remind you of our sage words of advice from last week’s column regarding team play and the status of coaches. After this week in college football, permission is granted to unleash the beast. Remember, no attacking others in those boards you cruise, just the facts ma’am, just the facts.

The guys came up short on three games this week. Will with Virginia, Texas A&M and Pitt while Jim fell short with NC State, Virginia Tech and Pitt. There was some grumbling about the Hokies head coach Brent Pry having his key to his hometown privileges revoked after the loss. Seems Jim is from the same neck of the woods and was there first.

Are there any out on a limb picks this week? Will takes West Virginia over Pitt in the Backyard Brawl while Jim goes with Purdue over what appears to be a hyper performing Syracuse. The dust is settling enough now that the wild picks, the upsets will be few and far between. It’s a race to the finish in this week’s take on college football.
