Three of the six ACC softball teams invited to the NCAA softball tournament will continue their march to the WCWS in Oklahoma City. Regional play was good to Virginia Tech, Clemson and Duke. The Hokies chewed through St. Francis, Miami (OH) and Kentucky in their Regional matchups to advance to the Super Regionals. The Tigers knocked off UNCW, Auburn and Louisiana in order to advance. Moving forward was a bit more of a challenge for the Blue Devils as they peeled off wins against UMBC, Liberty and then split games with a tenacious Georgia.
The conference began with 6 conference teams in the bracket. Notre Dame ran into a speed bump better known as McNeese who took games 1 and 5 while the Irish manage a win over Oakland. Georgia Tech split their games with Wisconsin and lost to Florida in the Gainesville Regional. In somewhat of a surprise, Florida State lost the Tallahassee Regional though they began with wins against Howard and Southern Florida but couldn’t get past Mississippi State in games 6 and 7.

NCAA Softball Super Regional action gets underway on Thursday, May 26 with play possibly through Sunday, May 29.
Blacksburg will host one Super Regional as Virginia Tech hosts Florida. Here is the game schedule –

- Game 2 – Saturday, May 28 12:00pm ET ESPN
- Game 3 – Sunday, May 29 TBA if needed
Clemson travels to Oklahoma State to take on the host Cowgirls. Here is the game schedule –

- Game 2 – Friday, May 27 6:00pm ET ESPN2
- Game 3 – Saturday, May 28 TBA if needed
Duke travels to UCLA to take on the Bruins. Here is the game schedule –

- Game 2 – Saturday, May 28 8:30pm ET ESPN2

The NCAA Softball WCWS begins play on June 2 and runs through the 9/10 as needed.
