Dublin Down | 24’s FSU Writing Checks They Can Cash

Florida State football opens Week Zero of play by heading to Dublin to play Georgia Tech.

It’s a hop, skip and jump over ‘the pond’ to Dublin in Week Zero of college football action for Florida State football. Saying, just forget about last year is one thing but actually clearing your mind of it is yet another. In true fan style that’s a memory that will likely pass on through generations and we’ll get a small taste of that by the reaction to the talking heads on College Game Day.

The 2024 Aer Lingus Football Classic at Aviva Stadium is set for 12 noon ET on ESPN or 5:00p IST (local) time in the nearly 52,000 seat arena (48,000 for American football).

Heading that way is The Osceola’s Curt Weiler who has been covering Florida State for many years and has been our pleasure to have as a special guest numerous times. Curt and Will jump into the question marks that surround DJ Uiagalelei who started his college run at Clemson in 2020, played for Oregon State last season and now leads the Seminoles. The former 5 star recruit has matured and seasoned since his somewhat rocky tenure with the Tigers.

Dublin

Weiler provides a great preview of the offense, defense, special teams and shares his thoughts on the schedule.

The Irish will have a warm welcome for Florida State and Georgia Tech fans. Aviva Stadium is a great venue for the two teams who are anxious to establish themselves and set a tone for the rest of the season. For those of you making the journey, enjoy Dublin.
