With fall ball out of the way and a new year on the horizon it’s time for Collegiate Baseball’s Preseason Top 50. Ten conference squads have enough in the tank to make a solid impression upon the writers putting together the rankings and with good reason, as the ACC continues to build a healthy reputation in college baseball. The surprise ‘snowbird’ team that has shown remarkable improvement, Notre Dame just missed a spot coming in three spots out of the poll
Speaking of three, Boston College, Pitt and Duke were the only teams from the ACC at the very least not receiving votes. Collegiate Baseball will have a rundown of the top 40 teams, top players, the projected Players and Pitchers of the Year from each conference plus the expected top draft picks in their upcoming January edition (available here).

The schedule of non-conference action begins in mid-February with most teams getting into conference games just under a month later in March. This year’s ACC Baseball Tournament returns to the Durham Bulls Athletic Park May 23-28 where there’s always a spectacular battle between the 12 conference teams that make the cut.
