United Soccer Men’s Top 25 – Players Of The Week
This week’s ACC Men’s Soccer Offensive Player of the Week honors go to Wake Forest’s Ema Twumasi. The Defensive Player of the Week is Pitt’s Bryce Cregan.
The Deac’s Twumasi inked three goals in two, one goal wins for Wake Forest. Twumasi netted the winning goal against South Carolina in the 89th minute and went on to score two against #6 Clemson in a 3-2 double OT win. The sophomore is currently tied for the conference lead at 7 goals.
Cregan helped lead the Pitt defense in their shutout win over West Virginia and a 2-1 victory over #21 Syracuse. Both wins were benchmarks for the Panthers. The win over the Mountaineers was the first since 2000 and highest point margin in Pitt’s history with West Virginia. The win over Syracuse was the first ACC win ever.
