ACC men’s lacrosse teams continue to flex their power landing five teams in upper tier of the latest USILA Top 20. That includes a battle for the top spot going on between Virginia and former conference foe Maryland. The poll places both teams on top of the mountain with the Cavaliers pulling in 11 First Place Votes (FPV) and the Terps 10.
The preseason rankings had Virginia at No. 1 followed by Duke and Maryland at No. 3. There was a three-way tie for the No. 4 position between North Carolina, Notre Dame and Georgetown.
