Post Combine Mock Draft

There are those that disparage the NFL Combine as nothing more than shorts, t-shirts and a great way to hype the coming draft. In the eyes of the everyday fan those 40 times along with cone work may seem shallow in making a determination about a player. Some even question what good are player interviews, after all, they’re just playing football.

If you’re a coach, a talent scout or a General Manager looking for key pieces to a perpetual puzzle it all makes sense. It makes even more sense when you begin to see how players improve their stock in the eyes of those making draft decisions, as many did.

The moment in between the combine and free agency allows for updates to Mock Drafts. Updates are flooding the internet. This is a great time to take a look at at least one, in this particular case, WalterFootball.com and see how ACC players are doing in rounds 1-3.

We’ve decided to use this particular source on it’s own as they readily provide information through five rounds. As we get closer to the NFL Draft we’ll begin to dissect multiple Mock Drafts.

Post Combine Mock Draft

CombineIf you’re keeping a close eye on Mock Drafts you may have also heard/read the uproar over not picking Lamar Jackson as a quarterback. That may be trending in the other direction.

NFL Draft guru Mike Mayock is calling Jackson, “the most electrifying player in this draft.”

NFL Media Analyst Daniel Jeremiah is projecting five quarterbacks, including Jackson going in the first round. Where does Jeremiah think Jackson will go? Take a look at his Mock Draft and the team he projects will take the Louisville standout in the draft.
