Five ACC volleyball teams entered the post-season with hopes of a shot at the NCAA title. No. 5 seed Georgia Tech fell to No. 1 seed Nebraska, 3-0. No. 6 seed Florida State fell in the first round to unseeded TCU, 3-1. Unseeded Miami rolled through their first round match with UNI, 3-1 before being stopped by No. 1 seed Wisconsin, 3-0.

The top two teams in the conference, Pitt and Louisville, seeded 1 and 2 in the tournament battled it out for an opportunity to move forward. It was all heat between the two teams (watch a portion of the match here) as Louisville took an early lead but the Panthers came back to clinch it in five with a 3-2 decision over the Cardinals and now they will face No. 1 seed Nebraska in the semifinals.

No. 1 Wisconsin and No. 2 Texas are the other teams that will hit the court in the NCAA Volleyball Tournament Semi-Finals. Both matches will be on Thursday (December 14) with the Pitt-Nebraska head to head slated for 7:00pm ET and Wisconsin-Texas following up at 9:30pm ET. Coverage begins at 7:00pm ET on ESPN.
