Pack Gymnastics Get Nod, Temple And LIU Debut

Competition gets underway in mid-January for East Atlantic Gymnastics League (EAGL) members including squads from NC State, Pitt and North Carolina. Pack gymnastics took five of eight first place votes from league head coaches as the team to beat. Two votes went to George Washington and one to Temple who rejoins in the league this season. Long Island University, a new Division I program joins EAGL to round membership out to eight teams.

NC State and New Hampshire were named co-champions of the EAGL 2020 season based on each teams league meets. The championship was canceled due to COVID-19.

Pitt garnered 49 points to NC State’s 59 to place second in the polling. The Panthers will open action on Friday, January 15 with a visit to NC State. On Saturday they’ll participate in a quad meet at Temple along with Eastern Michigan and fellow EAGL members Towson and New Hampshire.
