NC State, Duke Stumble Down Stretch

The very thing that NC State and Duke didn’t want, ended up happening this weekend. Both teams lost 2 out of 3 in their respective series.  As a result both teams tumble in the D1Baseball Top 25 as they head into the ACC Baseball Championship.

North Carolina, Clemson and Florida State all move up two spots in the poll as they head to Durham looking for a conference title. The Pack 9 drop 6 places while the Blue Devils fall 7 spots in this week’s rankings.

The question is, will this provide insight into how these teams will perform this week? Can NC State and Duke bounce back from these losses?

With teams across the country wrapping up regular and conference tournament play this week the NCAA selection committee will announce the Field of 64 on Monday, May 28. The Road To Omaha begins with regional play which includes ACC hosts Duke, North Carolina, NC State, Clemson and Florida State.
