Field Hockey Top 20 | Sizzle The Net

Field Hockey

There’s only one sure fire way to come out on top in field hockey and that’s to make that net sizzle. For you stat hounds, take a few minutes to wade through the ACC’s page featuring individual and team numbers. You’ll get a great picture of the strengths and weaknesses of conference teams in very short order. When it comes down to making the net sizzle, look no further than Syracuse who will put your head into rotation overdrive. At the same time, you’ll see some glaring issues in other categories that time and experience may or may not overcome.

The top team in the conference is still North Carolina despite suffering an early season setback at the hands of the now No. 1 team, Iowa. Having that game on home turf and then falling 3-2 in OT wasn’t what anyone at Chapel Hill expected. An early season loss may be a good thing though as it helps to re-focus everyone from coaches to players. As long as you don’t allow it to rattle your cage so much that you begin to play conservatively. We’ll see how that plays out.
