After an exciting ride with Mike Elko at the helm Duke football found themselves in need of another defensive guru to lead the team. Manny Diaz not only has the defensive chops but also the experience as a head coach in the ACC. It remains to be seen if he can take the Blue Devils to new heights but as our Special Guest on ACC Nation, Conor O’Neill points out, there’s plenty of motion going in the right direction.

As one might imagine there are some shortcomings, some question marks and also plenty to be excited about.
