Clemson Surges Into Top 15

Last week’s ACC baseball action brought a new team in to the limelight among conference competitors. Clemson surges eleven spots in the D1 Baseball Top 25 into the top 15 teams in college baseball.

The Tigers benefited greatly from their decisive sweep of then #16 Dallas Baptist over the weekend.

Just in front of Clemson is Louisville who is pushing toward a top 10 spot in the poll. The Cardinals swept their series with Youngstown State and move up one spot in the rankings.

North Carolina experienced a complete reversal of fortune as they fell to St. John’s and then dropped two of three to East Carolina. With the unexpected battering the Tar Heels fall fourteen spots in the poll.

Continuing their undefeated streak and leading the conference is Florida State. The Seminoles break into the top 5 this week following their sweep of Troy.

Virginia catches a ding from their loss to VMI and opening their series with Eastern Kentucky up with a loss before taking the final two.
