Boston College moved on from an issue at QB only to find themselves with yet another at the position. This time though, it’s actually a good thing. With two healthy and capable players ready to take the reins coach Bill O’Brien may be working his way to an answer well into the season.
The Publisher of Eagle Insider and Host of Locked On BC daily podcast, A.J. Black (we highly recommend following both) joins Will and Jim for our kick-off episode of ACC Nation football previews. Black gives us his unvarnished views and opinions on the strengths and weaknesses of the team and starts out with a thumbs up, thumbs down projection of wins and losses on this year’s schedule.
He doesn’t hold back on his thoughts regarding Thomas Castellanos taking potshots at his former teammates either. Jim recommends watching the Kevin Costner film, Draft Day to get an impression of how the now Florida State quarterback is coming across to a broader audience.
Boston College
Will and A.J. get into a breakdown of the offense and what to look for. Will O’Brien stick with his favored running attack when he has a loaded receiving corps? Which of the two quarterbacks fit best into a scheme that would primarily utilize the receivers?
There are some big shoes to fill on the Boston College defense. It may not be one player but rather multiples that step up and with a solid secondary the Eagles, who are chocked full of seniors may be more than a handful.
