The first call of batter up by the home plate umpire is getting underway in Durham. The ACC Baseball Championship kicks off a trio of games in pool play that you can watch on ACC Network Extra and RSN. Atlantic Division champion Louisville earned the top seed while Coastal Division champion Georgia Tech is the No. 2 seed in the tournament.

Durham Bulls Athletic Park is once again the setting for the conference baseball championship tournament. The ACC FanFest, a free event will feature live music, interactive games, autographs and giveaways. FanFest will be held outside the park on Blackwell Street on Saturday, May 25 from 12:00pm until 5:00pm. *All events/games are ET.

Meanwhile, inside the park there is a week’s worth of exciting baseball awaiting fans. It all gets underway today.

The conference tournament features a pool-play format. Here’s a look at the teams assigned to each pool.

The Cardinals lead the way in Pool A. No. 8 seed Clemson and No. 12 seed Boston College are also part of the same pool.

Pool B includes No. 2 Georgia Tech, No. 7 Duke and No. 11 Notre Dame.

NC State tops Pool C a the No. 3 seed and the Wolfpack are joined by No. 6 seed Florida State and No. 10 Wake Forest.

The Hurricanes as the No. 4 seed top Pool D. In addition to Miami, the pool includes No. 5 North Carolina and No. 9 Virginia.

Pool play Tuesday through Friday have games scheduled for 11:00am, 3:00pm and 7:00pm. Each team will play one game against each of the other two opponents.

The four teams with the best records from each pool advance to the Saturday semifinals. Those two games will be played at 1:00pm and 5:00pm.
