AVCA Volleyball Preseason Top 25

Two teams from the ACC make the 2017 AVCA Volleyball Preseason Top 25 with one in the Receiving Votes category of the poll.

Last year’s NCAA Champion, Stanford pulls up short in the overall poll coming in just below top ranked Texas. The Cardinal received 35 first place votes while the Longhorns only received 25. Stanford came up short in the Total Adjusted Points dropping them to #2 in the preseason rankings.

Last week’s ACC Coaches Preseason Poll picked North Carolina as the top team in the Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC) this season. The Tar Heels climbed as high as #6 in AVCA polling last year.

North Carolina tops ACC teams in this year’s AVCA preseason Top 25. They’re joined in the poll by Florida State. Meanwhile, Pitt is in the Receiving Votes category.
