ACC Nation Power Poll

Underdog

We noted last week that the dust was settling in the ACC Nation Power Poll. That’s our story this week and we’re sticking to it.

In the poll the movement is minor but the games deciding those changes are major. Some of the changes occur simply because one team won while another had a bye. The old, ‘you snooze you lose’ routine.

Swapping places at the top of the poll are Boston College and NC State. The Wolfpack took a hit with their loss to Clemson but not enough to create a death spiral in these rankings. It’s a whole different ball game however over in the AP Top 25 and USA Today Coaches Poll. You can check out some key college football information including projected bowl bids in our piece ‘College Football Rankings‘.

If you want to get a quick, down and dirty feel for college football, especially the ACC and Notre Dame, join us for this week’s episode of ACC Nation Podcast.

ACC Nation Power Poll – What’s Next?

By now you’ve checked out the rankings and hopefully taken a look at the projected bowl bids. At the moment, Clemson and Notre Dame look like they’re geared up to be in the playoffs at year’s end.

If you’re big into politics you’ve probably heard of Nate Silver and the website FiveThirtyEight. If you haven’t we think you’ll enjoy the statistics and that is why we headed over to take a look at their sports section. See what you think of their page ‘2018 College Football Predictions‘. We’re pretty sure Clemson fans will enjoy the read. (Editor’s note: It is an active page so the numbers change frequently)
