Swimming and Diving teams are closing in the conference tournament in Atlanta, February 15-19. The latest CSCAA Top 25 places Virginia women at the top of the poll and NC State men at No. 3. The Cavaliers won their first NCAA Swimming and Diving Championship title in 2021 and are in a good position to defend their title. They were the first women’s conference team to win or contend for the title since 1982. An ACC men’s team has never won nor contended for a national championship title since 1937. Could this year see a change with the emergence of the Wolfpack?

This may be the best year for ACC teams to be in position to win national titles with the conference and NCAA tournaments both being held at a familiar facility. Georgia Tech’s McAuley Aquatic Center is hosting both events this year. The ACC’s championship February 15-19, the NCAA women’s March 16-19 and the men’s March 23-26.
